Real World K-9 LLC is dedicated to working with dogs of all breeds on obedience, behavior modification, and reactivity. We excel in providing top notch results for dogs with major behavioral problems and treat every pet as if it were our own! Each dog will learn at a different pace, so our methods will vary depending on each individual dog.

Here at Real World K-9 LLC, we train a lot of "naughty" dogs. Whether it's a board and train or a private session, we have the skillset to modify and control dogs behavior in most circumstances. Communication is the most significant key by marking behaviors coupled with consistent follow through. If your dog is externalizing people aggression or even dog aggression, this could be due to a variety of things. If the undesirable behavior is not corrected, it is almost certain it will continue to get worse and in higher frequency. Our board and train program is a consistent black and white lifestyle dedicated to teaching a proper line of communication with you and your dog through "operant conditioning" and "classic conditioning".

Since 2010, I have professionally worked with reactive and aggressive pets and K9s, we specialize in this training because many trainers out there refuse to work with these types of dogs when I enjoy the challenge. RWK-9 provides a style of training that focuses on the principals of animal behavior modification. This training will leave you confident knowing that the science and studies that back these principals will provide the results you're seeking in the long run with your dog. Between bonding and giving each dog here the proper consistent repetition and environmental set up for success, we yield good results in training/correcting the following:

MEET ZOLA!

On May 31, 2023 at approximately 5: 48 a.m. multiple calls came in to Monticello NY Police Department reporting a dog crying in distress. An officer was dispatched immediately and as the subject came into view from the officer’s police car, the officer witnessed a man slamming a dog into the pavement and stomping her head into the ground with his feet.

In a split second, Officer Buckner activated his siren to divert the subject from furthering his brutal attack on the dog. The perpetrator was arrested at the scene and the dog was taken to the police department with multiple lacerations to the face, abrasions and swelling. The dog was transported to Quality Pet Care in Monticello, New York where an official from Catskill Animal Rescue, Inc. assumed responsibility for the dog and it’s care. Dr. Scott Quick, a veterinarian experienced in assessing and documenting animal cruelty, headed an extensive exam of “Zola”, a 2 year old Brown Pit Bull.

Zola, in shock, sustained multiple injuries including 2 deep lacerations to her head, a broken cheek bone, several wounds to her body and abrasions to her legs, 2 broken ribs, liver values 24 times the normal level and low red blood cell count from bleeding.

Catskill Animal Rescue, Inc. welcomes any and all donations to help offset the expenses involved to provide Zola with continuing vet care and rehabilitation. We will providing any and all assistance to the District Attorney’s office in the prosecution of the attacker and remain committed to fiercely defend voiceless animal victims like our beautiful warrior ZOLA.
