THE LEGACY OF TRIPP LIVES ON...

Tripp was born September 9, 2012, in the Netherlands, and was brought to America in 2015 where he was one of the first dogs specifically trained not to detect on marijuana following Washington’s legalization. He came shortly after the stabbing and killing of K-9 Ike with the Vancouver police department. He spent 2 years with Vancouver police department where he made several drug and money seizures and apprehended over a dozen dangerous criminals.

In 2017, Tripp was moved to Cimarron County Oklahoma, with Christian, and made over $80,000 in money seizures in his first 2 weeks on the job. He had numerous impressive drug busts and apprehended one criminal wanted for escaping the jail and hijacking a vehicle

In 2018, Christian and Tripp moved closer to home where he was a K9 with the Dale Police department and racked up many drug busts and made many friends! In August of 2019, he went through the toughest day of his career nearly dying in the line of duty after apprehending a suspect. This dog kept us safe and was completely ready to give the ultimate sacrifice to ensure his partner (Christian) and other officers made it home to their families.
Tripp is now living the life! Although his throat still has trouble from being choked nearly to death, he lives a very happy life reproducing himself in his offspring and creating some of the present and future’s quality police dogs.
